Bethlehem Revisited @ College Heights Baptist Church

This Christmas season will be like no other you have ever experienced! Imagine being able to step back in time more than 2000 years. Stroll the ancient streets of Bethlehem as you await of Mary, Joseph and the birth of the baby Jesus.

You will encounter on your journey; merchants, craftsmen, rabbis and many other citizens, as well as live animals. But that’s not the end of the story. Continue on, following the earthly ministry of Jesus, along the sea of Galilee where you’ll meet  John the Baptist, the woman at the well, and others. Afterward, see how the ministry of Jesus is completed on the cross, leaving us with the promise if redemption and eternal life.

Come joins us for a magical stroll thru our gardens filled with Whimsical Christmas Light displays, have a cup of chocolate, and enjoy the music. Bear Creek elves have been working hard for weeks to make this special event the best ever. Admission is free, so bring the whole family and don’t forget the friends and family from our of town!

Holiday Sweetness Bazaar @ Soldotna Senior Center

This is the second annual Holiday Sweetness goodies bazaar.

Have a favorite recipe for baked goods or confections that you would like to sell to the public? Or, are you looking for some homemade holiday gifts for your loved ones?

Join us for a new bazaar, consisting of food items and crafts.

Tables are available for vendors, at our normal table prices.

We will also be selling raffle tickets for an 8 quart Instant Pot, to be drawn at the Senior Center Christmas party on December 20th.

Nativity Scene Tours @ Ninilchik Fairgrounds

Ninilchik Christmas Bazaar @ Kenai Pen. Fairgrounds

Join us on December 14th, 10 – 5, here at the Kenai Peninsula Fairgrounds for our annual Christmas Bazaar! There are a lot of fun things to do that day! Door Prizes, Photos with Santa, Hot Food and Drinks, Baked Goodies, 40 Vendors, Gift Wrapping, and a Carnival Game! Our fundraising shop, the Ninilchik Thrift and Gift will be open that day as well!

Brunch with Santa @ The Cannery Lodge

Saturday, December 14th from 11 am – 3 pm Santa and his LIVE reindeer will be making an appearance at The Cannery Lodge!

Come in and grab some brunch and get your family’s photo taken with the big guy & his reindeer.

There will be a cookie decorating table & a wish list making station for the kiddo’s while they wait for photos.

We will have a hot coco bar, hot apple cider bar & coffee bar.

Holiday Event! @ Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center

Come celebrate the Holidays at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center! This event is free with admission and is sure to be fun for the whole family. The schedule for the event is as follows:

11:00AM to 1:00PM – Enjoy holiday ornament crafting in Bison Hall and photo opportunities with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

12:00PM to 12:30PM – Snap a family photo with one of Santa’s reindeer!

We’ll also have holiday cookies, hot cocoa, and plenty of other holiday treats. See you there!

Community Nativity Celebration Event @ The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is proud to host hundreds of nativity displays during the Christmas season depicting biblical accounts of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Come and see hand-crafted nativities, the nativities from around the world bear testimony of the divinity of the Savior’s birth. Traditional Christmas nativity scenes include Jesus in a manger with figurines of His mother, Mary; Joseph; angels; shepherds and farm animals.

The is free and open to the public.

Families are encouraged.

Little PEEPS (Preschool Environmental Education ProgramS) is for 2-5 year olds who haven’t started kindergarten.

Every third Thursday of the month we have two separate one hour sessions 9am-10am and 10:30am-11:30am.

The time-frame is filled with stories, active games, a snack and a craft all based on a monthly theme.  October’s theme is BATS.  Guardians attend and siblings are welcome but priority is given to the 2-5 year olds for snack and craft materials.

Registration not required.
