Public Comment Period Open For Pebble Mine

As of Friday March 1st, The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will collect comments on the Draft EIS in multiple ways including public hearings for the proposed Pebble Mine. The schedule includes hearings in the project area, as well as in Anchorage and Homer. The public hearing schedule is listed below.

Public comments will be accepted during the open comment period, from March 1, 2019 to May 30, 2019. The draft will be available for reference and comments may be submitted for consideration as public record.

Public hearings are being held in the same communities that the USACE conducted scooping meetings in 2018. A complete schedule of scoping meetings can be viewed here.
