Peninsula Swimmers Shine At State Swimming & Diving Championships

Madison Story of Homer and Lydia Jacoby of Seward lead the Kenai Peninsula state participants with individual state championships at the 2019 ASAA State Swimming & Diving Championships held at the Bartlett Pool in Anchorage.

 

Madison Story raced to the championship in the 200 Yard Individual Medley.  Seward sophomore Lydia Jacoby broke her own state record in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:00.41 earning the gold medal.

 

Soldotna’s Ethan Evans swam to a pair of podium finishes for the Stars.  Ethan finished second in the 100 Breaststroke final in a time of 58.06.  Ethan set a new SoHi record in 50 Freestyle finishing third in 21.26 in the event final.
