The final days of the regular season for 3A and 4A basketball features non-conference contests on Thursday, Southcentral Conference games on Friday and a mix on Saturday.
Thursday Basketball Schedule: Nikiski hosting SoHi
Two of the top girls basketball teams in Alaska, Nikiski and SoHi, tip-off on Thursday at 6 p.m. in a non-conference pairing of teams which have earned top seeds to their respective conference tournaments.
The Nikiski girls stand at 20-3, including conference, endowment, non-conference games and hold an 11-1 record against Southcentral Conference teams. The Bulldog girls have earned the #1 seed from the South for the Southcentral Conference championships, scheduled for March 7-9 at Seward High School.
The Soldotna girls sport a 22-2 overall record, including conference, endowment, non-conference games and an 8-0 Northern Lights Conference record. The SoHi girls have locked-in the #1 seed in the upcoming NLC tournament to be hosted at Soldotna High School on March 7-9.
The Soldotna boys travel to Nikiski to face the Bulldogs as both teams prepare for conference tournaments. Bulldogs vs SoHi boys game is scheduled for 7:30 Thursday.
