Brown Bears Open Three-Game Home Series Against Minnesota On Thursday

The Kenai River Brown Bears, with nine regular season games remaining on the schedule, open a three-game, home series against the Minnesota Magicians on Thursday, March 14 at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex.  Thursday’s contest is scheduled for 7 p.m. and Friday and Saturday games are set for 7:30 p.m. starts.

 

The Brown Bears are currently in 5th place in the Midwest Division of the North American Hockey League with an overall record of 19-27-3-2 and 43 points.  The Magicians stand in second place, having been passed by the Fairbanks Ice Dogs in the past week, with a record of 31-18-2-0 and 64 points.  The new leader in the Midwest Division is Fairbanks with 66 points and a record of 30-15-3-3.

 

The Brown Bears host Minnesota Thursday through Saturday; then, host the Ice Dogs on March 21-23 to close the current home stand.  Kenai River travels to Fairbanks for a season-ending series against the Ice Dogs running March 28-30.
